Cette œuvre met en scène une voiture isolée au cœur d’un environnement forestier dense et monumental. La verticalité des arbres, la présence envahissante des lianes et l’absence de source lumineuse plongent la composition dans une atmosphère à la fois énigmatique et inquiétante. Les lavis de mauve, de bleu, de vert et de brun structurent un paysage surnaturel, où la profondeur spatiale se dissout au profit d’un espace mental et introspectif. La forêt y apparaît comme un motif central, hérité de l’imaginaire du conte populaire, en tant que lieu d’errance, d’épreuve et de métamorphose. 

Cédric Diomède est un artiste français né en 1982. Son travail a été exposé en France et à l'international.

This work depicts a car isolated in the heart of a dense and monumental forest. The verticality of the trees, the encroaching presence of vines, and the absence of a light source immerse the composition in an atmosphere that is both enigmatic and unsettling. Washes of mauve, blue, green, and brown structure a surreal landscape, where spatial depth dissolves, giving way to a mental and introspective space. The forest appears as a central motif, inherited from the imagery of folk tales, as a place of wandering, trial, and metamorphosis.
