Cosmogonie, du grec "cosmo-" « monde » et "gon-" « engendrer » est une théorie expliquant la formation de l'Univers.

Des milliers de légendes de création du Monde et de récits cosmogoniques traditionnels relatifs à ses origines, ceux des dieux ou des institutions, appartiennent à la catégorie des mythes fondateurs. Les récits aux origines différentes se croisent, se reflètent, se recoupent...

Les Rapa nui, cette civilisation riche et mystérieuse de L’île de Pâques au Chili, inventaient le Rongo Rongo, un alphabet constitué de symboles pour déchiffrer des réalités visuelles ou divines.

A l’ère d’une néo-alphabétisation générée par la prolifération d’images dans notre quotidien, Cosmogony croise les prémices d’un langage et donne à voir de multiples similitudes et mimétismes.

Notre Rongo Rongo 2.0 est constitué essentiellement d’images virtuelles mais il reste conteur de fables et de mythes dans ce monde moderne où le besoin de croyances et de spiritualité reste une réalité.

Cosmogony rend hommage, en mettant en lumière un passé (notre histoire), à travers notre langage contemporain et ainsi témoigne que nous étions, sommes et serons la pérennité d’un langage protéiforme.

Cosmo2gony a été exposée à l’Unesco en 2019. Cette oeuvre est la première d'une série que l'artiste dévoilera au fil des expositions, au nombre de 5 au total.

Koa Li est une artiste plasticienne et photographe française née en 1983. Son travail a été exposé à Paris à l'UNESCO à deux reprises, à Livourne en Italie, Berlin, New York, San Antonio au Texas et Bacalar au Mexique. L'artiste est également la fondatrice du festival Bacalart au Mexique.

Cosmogony, from the Greek "cosmo-" «world» and "gon-" «engendering» is a theory explaining the formation of the Universe.

Thousands of legends of the creation of the World and of traditional cosmogonic narratives relating to its origins, those of the gods or institutions, belong to the category of founding myths. Stories of different origins intersect, are reflected, overlap...

The Rapa nui, this rich and mysterious civilization of Easter Island in Chile, invented the Rongo Rongo, an alphabet made up of symbols to decipher visual or divine realities.

In the era of a neo-literacy generated by the proliferation of images in our daily lives, "Cosmogony" crosses the premises of a language and shows multiple similarities and mimicries.

Our Rongo Rongo 2.0 is essentially made up of virtual images but it remains a storyteller of fables and myths in this modern world where the need for beliefs and spirituality remains a reality.

Cosmogony pays tribute, by highlighting a past (our history), through our contemporary language and thus testifies that we were, are and will be the sustainability of a protean language.

The Cosmo2gony from the Cosmogony series, is the second work of a series that the artist will unveil over the course of the exhibitions, in total of 5.
