Franck Paglieri - Manger humains - Collection Capsule

Le titre fait référence au dessin animé japonais "Princesse Mononoké" de Hayao Miyazaki, dans lequel les esprits de la forêt, incarnés par de petits personnages, prononcent une onomatopée ressemblant à "ningen… ningen…" (humain... humain), murmure indistinct répété comme une litanie obsédante envers les hommes, responsables de la destruction de la forêt. L’œuvre repose sur la superposition de deux procédés. D’une part, un dessin exécuté les yeux fermés, ligne continue et aveugle, qui relie le bas d’un visage d’inspiration antique, figure de l’humain, à une masse capillaire informe, figure de l’esprit dévorant.

Franck Paglieri est un artiste plasticien né en 1977 à Versailles, vivant et travaillant à Paris. Il a exposé son travail en France et à l'étranger (Miami, Tanger, Ibiza...)

The title refers to Hayao Miyazaki's Japanese animated film "Princess Mononoke," in which the forest spirits, embodied by small characters, utter an onomatopoeia resembling "ningen… ningen…" (human… human), an indistinct murmur repeated like an obsessive litany against humans, responsible for the destruction of the forest. The work is based on the superimposition of two processes. On the one hand, a drawing executed with eyes closed, a continuous and blind line, connects the lower part of a face inspired by antiquity, representing humanity, to a formless mass of hair, representing the devouring spirit.

Franck Paglieri is a visual artist born in 1977 in Versailles, living and working in Paris. He has exhibited his work in France and abroad (Miami, Tangier, Ibiza...).
