Composition, moment, light have always been the decisive elements "before the click". It is as a painter that Franck Paglieri observes the world, as he studied fine arts painting. However, photography will be his medium and his traveling companion.
By traveling worldwide with his film camera, the artist brings back views that invite us to see in one direction and in another. These peculiarities disturb the viewer faced with this false feeling of reflection and thus question the true meaning.
"My shots are on film, they are double exposures, without retouching or special effects, just various points of view united in one. These double exposures testify to my conviction to relativize all these elsewhere which could be our home." Franck Paglieri.
In this urban landscape, green color brings a touch of pop freshness that directs our gaze to this "up and down" axis and to the very graphic New York skyline.
Franck Paglieri is currently working on the preparation of a monumental projection for a ballet. His Tableaux (é)mouvants ((e)moving paintings) projections accompanied singer Christophe during his last tour in 2016-2017. The artist also showcased his work at the Tangerine Nuits Sonores, projecting onto the façade of the old prison in the Medina. Franck created an installation for Miami Art Basel in 2012 at the Artist House in the Design District. In 2010, he presented a projection performance of Tableaux (é)mouvants at Square Jean Aicart during Nuit Blanche Paris XIXème.
